This episode is powered by The Move to Millions Ascension Archetype Quiz

Everybody wants to be a millionaire until they get the invoice for becoming one. We love talking about the revenue, freedom, investments, first-class flights and generational wealth, but we don't talk nearly enough about the obedience, identity shifts, consistency, uncomfortable decisions and repeated action required before millions become normal. My guest and previous client Herman Dolce went from making $29,000 a year as a social worker to leaving a six-figure tech career, building a multimillion-dollar company and eventually creating approximately $1.5 million every six weeks due to our work together. But the most important part of his story isn't how much money he makes. It's who he had to become before that level of wealth could become his baseline. And if you've been asking what it really takes to build wealth, scale to millions and change your family's financial trajectory, this conversation is going to challenge how you've been thinking about the entire journey.

What happens when the amount of money you once dreamed about stops feeling extraordinary and simply becomes your life? In this powerful conversation with financial literacy expert and Bella Sloan Enterprises CEO Herman Dolce, we explore what changes when wealth becomes normal, baseline and unremarkable. From walking away from a six-figure tech career to building a multimillion-dollar company and now generating approximately $1.5 million every six weeks, Herman's journey reveals what becomes possible when financial literacy meets obedience, exposure, mentorship, identity and consistent action. But what makes this conversation different is where the money ultimately takes us: into freedom, family, generosity and generational legacy. Because the real goal isn't to make millions once. It's to become the person for whom millions can become normal and then use that normal to change what's possible for everyone who comes after you.

Here is the truth: wanting millions and being willing to become the person responsible for millions are two different decisions. The desire is free. The becoming requires something from you..

Get your Move to Millions Podcast notebook ready—you’ll want to take notes on the lessons packed into this incredible conversation!  Listen in to discover:

✔ How to become the person who makes greater wealth feel normal

✔ How to use mentorship, exposure, and consistency to expand your financial baseline

✔ How to turn money into a tool for freedom, generosity, and generational wealth
✔ And so much more

This episode is a call to stop asking only what you need to do to make millions and start asking who you must become to normalize them. Strategy can show you the move. Identity determines whether you can actually make it yours..

This is your invitation to examine the price of the life you say you desire and decide whether you're actually willing to pay its down payment. Not through suffering, but through obedience, consistency, investment and becoming.

Herman: [00:00:00] But there's a work that is needed that everyone is afraid to do, 'cause I'm not sure everybody is prepared to pay the cost of the work, right? That's good. And-

Darnyelle: Yeah ...

Herman: yeah, the cost of the work. Everybody wants to be a millionaire. Everybody wants this and everybody wants that, Doctor, but nobody's willing to put the down payment

There is so much you're gonna gather from this [00:03:00] powerful conversation. Let's jump into my conversation with Herman. Oh my gosh, it's gonna be so good.

I'll see you right after. Herman, Herman, Herman, I am so excited to welcome you to the Move to Millions podcast. How are you today?

Herman: Doctor, I'm doing amazingly well. Thank you for having me and trusting me on your platform. I am absolutely honored.

Darnyelle: Oh my goodness. Listen, I just keep thinking about how we just ran into each other in Atlanta a few- Mm-hmm

months ago after- Mm-hmm ... you know, however many years it's been since we worked together. And I just immediately felt resonant in my spirit that we needed to have this conversation. And so before we even jump into what is sure to be powerful for those of you who are watching or listening, I want you to just take a moment.

They've just heard me share your powerful bio, and I've said all the things, but what is one thing that you would love for them to know about you as we start this conversation today?

Herman: [00:04:00] Tough question. My favorite thing right now that I don't think a lot of people know about me, I talk about them, but my children.

I truly enjoy being a father. My purpose is so different since I became a father almost nine years ago. It g- it has given me clarity on my future, on legacy, my income, my finances, my spirituality, my connection with Yeshua. I understand my parents better. I just get so many things now, especially when I just stare at them, 'cause they're at that six and eight-year-old age, and I'm just watching them develop.

Like, I just taught my kids how to ride a bike-

Darnyelle: Nice ...

Herman: two weeks ago, and they were so scared, so scared to do it. And, but it took, like, 30 minutes, and they did it, and it was a lesson I was teaching. I was like, I was like, "Do it scared. I don't care if you fall. We're gonna get back up." I put all the gear pads on them.

They looked like cra- they looked crazy.

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: But they did it. It was just a, it was just another lesson of a father being patient with a child.

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: And I, I think about the lessons my father taught me. I think about the lessons Yeshua teaches me, because [00:05:00] I be stubborn, too, and I be fearful, too, and that's how he talks to me.

He's like, "No, do it scared. You'll be fine." But like, you know, when I'm in my own feelings, you know, it's something else. But being a father has been one of the best experiences over the past almost decade of my life.

Darnyelle: Wow. I love all of that, and I love it for a myriad of reasons, but, and specifically just this last lesson, right, of teaching them to ride the bike, and them trusting you enough, them feeling- Yep

safe enough that even though they were afraid, even though they didn't want to have to use all the pads that you put on them, they were able to do it afraid. I think that's such a powerful lesson. I lo- I mean, since I met you, I have loved hearing the stories of your daughters. I know that they are the inspiration behind everything you do- Yeah, for sure

to the point that your business is named after them, right?

Herman: Yeah. Nice.

Darnyelle: All, all of that and, [00:06:00] and what it has become. I wanna... I know a lot about you that maybe they know about you, but maybe they don't. I wanna make the assumption that they're just meeting you for the very first time here, and I would love to, like, go on a journey.

Okay. And I would love for you to start said journey- Okay ... talking about the day you made the decision to walk away from your career and to start the work that you now do today.

Herman: Okay, I got a little time. But in order to start there, right, please don't let me forget the or- your original question, I have to start with a medium-sized story over obedience.

Darnyelle: Okay.

Herman: Because-

Darnyelle: Good. I'm here for all of it. Let's go ...

Herman: because Bella Sloan Enterprises, which is the name of my company, does not exist if I do not marry Janelle Leacock, her maiden name, right?

Darnyelle: Yes.

Herman: And I was dating someone else at the time in college when I met my wife, and then God was telling me that person is [00:07:00] not the one.

And I was like, "No, I'm in love with this person. I'm gonna marry this person." And listen, you have a choice with Christ. You have a choice. You do. Sometimes he be like, "No, you gotta do it my way," AKA Jonah, right?

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: But he was like, "No, you... No, J- it's Janelle." I was like, "But I like this girl." And he was like, he's like, "No, it's this one."

I won't bore everybody with the stories, but I ended up being with the Janelle. And if I wasn't with Janelle, only Herman and Janelle could create Bella.

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: Right? And thus, Bella Sloan Enterprises.

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: Right? 'Cause I named it after my, uh, my company. And I connect all that to obedience of Christ putting Janelle in my life, naming the company after her, and everybody knows my daughter's name.

People think Bella Sloan is her first and middle, middle name. Everybody think my name is Mr. Sloan. It's just such a brand, um, now where people call me Bella's dad. It's just, it's just so interesting. But to answer your question, the day I left was August 4th seven years ago, right? August 4th.

Darnyelle: If you've been [00:08:00] doing all the right things but still feel like you're carrying more weight than you should, it's not your strategy, it's your pattern.

If this episode is blessing your life and business right now, will you take a few moments and rate and review the show? Your words help more millions-minded entrepreneurs find us and step into their next level. All right, thank you so much. Let's get back into the conversation, 'cause we're just getting started.

Herman: And- I remember that day because, interesting story, I was taking phone calls at my job, I was working in tech, in the broom closet. "Hello, this is Bellstone Enterprises. How can I be of service?" Right? And I was like, "Oh, I can't do this anymore," right? So then I was really [00:10:00] pondering on should I quit my job.

Again, I was really scared. And to go back to what you said earlier today about God and riding a bike, I didn't trust God yet because everything was so dependent on me. Mm. So I remember I went on a trip with my brothers to Costa Rica. It was the most amazing trip I've ever been on. Just had a blast. It was so refreshing.

Came back to my cubicle, and I physically felt ill. Mm. Right? This is Yeshua working. I physically felt ill. I was like, "Ugh, I can't be here anymore. The walls are tighter." And this was a six-figure job. Like, I'm a first generation- Yeah ... Haitian American, and this is, "You've made it. My son makes six figures. He made it in America."

Like, this is it. Yeah. This is the cap my parents told me this is it. So, but I, but I felt squeezed in, so I decided to fast 'cause I had to make a, a life decision.

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: So I was like, "All right, God. Next week I'm gonna fast. Talk to me." Day one, m- one of my brothers called me. He sent me a video, matter of fact.

He sent me a video of Gary Vee telling a [00:11:00] 22 or 3-year-old kid, 'cause the kid asked him, "Should I quit my job?" And Gary was like, "Yes." He's like, "But you don't have any other variables." He's like, "You're 23." He's like, "Go out there, mess up, fail quickly, because right now you have time." He was like, "The worst that's gonna happen is you're gonna fail and you're gonna come back and get a job.

You don't wanna have to wait 10 years to make the decision. Do it now." So when he sent it to me, I was like, "Nah, that wasn't God." Day two of the fast, my wife calls me, and she's like, "Hey, God told me to say to you fear and faith cannot exist in the same place."

Darnyelle: Wow. Now were you doing- And I was like- ... a full fast, a Daniel fast?

What kind of fasting were you doing?

Herman: This was, this was a five-day water fast.

Darnyelle: Okay. '

Herman: Cause it was, it was a serious decision, so I really had to go in. Morning, noon, and night prayer, that was the goal. So that happened day two. So when she said that, I was like, "Oh, that was God."

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: So I was like, "Okay." The next day, [00:12:00] now this is Wednesday.

Wednesday I email my boss, 'cause I work from home. I email my boss and I was like, "Hey, I'd like to put in my two-week resi- resignation letter." Right?

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: Shaking the whole time I'm writing, right?

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm. Press submit. Been there, done that, got that T-shirt. Yes.

Herman: Press submit. Then Yeshua says, "Didn't I tell you to quit your job?"

I was like, "I did." He was like, "No, you didn't." He was like, "You put in a two-week resignation."

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: He's like, "You didn't quit your job." He's like, "I told you to quit your job. I'll handle the rest." Me thinking corporate, "Oh, I wanna be polite. I left on good grounds." You only do that stuff if you plan on coming back to get a letter of recommendation for these people for your next job.

God's like, "You're not gonna work with anybody again."

Darnyelle: Right.

Herman: So I, I... The next day, this is Thursday, I hand- I went in and I was like, "I'm not gonna give you the two weeks. I'm just gonna hand in my equipment." She's like, "Herman, how could you do this?" I was like, "I'm so sorry, I just have to be obedient." Of course, she didn't receive it, 'cause that message wasn't for her.

That Thursday [00:13:00] night, a good mentor of mine was like, "Hey, I'm leaving tomo- I'm leaving to go to Miami to go get funding. I want you to come with me." And I, in my brain, I'm like, "Oh, it's a weekday. Like, are we going on a... How does this work?" But she ended, was like, we ended up going that Friday. I watched her raise a quarter million dollars from three different banks.

I couldn't unsee it, and then that's what took my business to the next level. I love that. So that was a long story to answer your question. I love it. But I had to give you the long-

Darnyelle: I love it. I, I couldn't unsee it. Oliver Wendell Holmes says, "Once a mind has been expanded, it can't return to the same place."

Mm-hmm. So literally, that's what's happening. You start the business. What happens after that? So- And, and take us, like you can kind of fast-forward to the point where you and I meet in the journey.

Herman: Okay. So now I'm full-time, right? And the business actually scales very quickly because the 40 hours, really 60 because drive time, getting dressed, lunch, like you're really working 60 hours.

You're giving 60 hours a week to something else. That 60 hours, I gave [00:14:00] it to the business.

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: And I was making $5,000 net from my job, right? So it was a six-figure job, but net, my take-home was 5,000. Within 30 to 45 days of me being a full-time entrepreneur, I made $15,000. Wow. Because I gave my 60 hours a week to the business.

I was like, "Whatever I gave

my job, I'ma give my business."

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: Right? Then I got on an influencer's platform, and he had a really large platform, so that kind of scales me significantly, but I was already consistent in what I was doing anyway. It was just gasoline at that point, and then the business expanded to 25,000 the third month.

And we stayed around 25, $30,000 and we met our amazing sister, Atia. Mm-hmm. And then Atia introduced us together, and then you taught me- I know in your brain you was gonna teach me how to make six figures a month, but it's not what, it's not what you, it's not what you [00:15:00] said. You was like, "Let me show you how to scale your business, improve your brand, help out your customers."

You gave me this thick binder blueprint that we actually use as the foundation for so many of our VIP days. And as I'm driving back from seeing you in Delaware, and I'm telling my CEO, I was like, "We can do the, what we just experienced. We can do that same thing."

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: And we ended up doing VIP days where we did one-on-one with clients, and I was afraid to charge anybody that type of money, 'cause remember, I was maybe charging people 25, 30, $1,000 the most for any one of our myriad of services.

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: So selling somebody with a straight face as 10,000 was extremely uncomfortable, 'cause remember, I was a social worker five years before that. I was working in tech 90 days before that. Asking somebody for $10,000 was crazy, and you said, "No, it needs to be 25,000." We'll talk about the 25,000 program- DM ... in a second.

But I remember somebody DMs me, "Do you have a one-on-one?" I [00:16:00] was like, "Nope." Before that DM story happened, I have to give you another story. Can I give you another story?

Darnyelle: Sure. Listen, this is your time.

Herman: Okay. So I, when I was a social worker, I was a supervisor for a young gentleman, a Mr. Muhammad, and we parted ways.

The grant ended for that program, so we, we b- we got let go. He had a juice business. He's doing very well in the juice business now, and I started Bell zone Enterprises. He saw me on Instagram, and he called me. He's like, "Yo, boss, how you feeling?" I'm like, "I'm doing great." "Oh my God, so glad you still got my number."

He's like, "You quit your job, didn't you?" And I was like, "How do you know that?" He was like, "Your energy, I can tell-" Mm-hmm ... "through social media, and you're a free man." I was like, "Oh my God." So we're telling each other our entrepreneur journeys, and he's free. He quit his job, too. He's out of social work. Great juice brand in Philly.

And I'm telling him, "Hey, I got my first speaking gig." He's like, "Oh my God, congratulations. Tell me about it." And I was like, "Well, I'm gonna be speaking at a conference, 2,000 people, and I'm gonna be talking about [00:17:00] funding." He's like, "Great. How much are they paying you?" And I was like, "Oh," and I thought I was smart.

Mm-hmm. I was like, "Oh, they're not... I told them they don't need to pay me anything. I'm gonna close the room. I'm gonna be in front of 2,000 people. If I get 200 clients, it's a six-figure day. I'm really excited."

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: Then he paused. Remember, we serve two d- two different gods. Right. He was like, "So, so God told you-" God ask you how much you wanna make, and you told God nothing.

You said zero. Mm-hmm. He's like, "Next time God asks you how much you wanna make, tell him."

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: So I was like, "Wow, that was very powerful." So the next time somebody DMed me and said, "Hey, do you do a one-on-one?" I said, "Yes." Hand shaking.

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: I typed in $10,000. The next message that came in was, "Where do I send the money?"

Mm-hmm. Screenshot the sentence to my CEO, "You're not gonna believe this. We got a creative product. We got the blueprint. We- [00:18:00] it's go time." And after I posted that 10K product-

I don't I rarely promote it on my website. It was nowhere to be found, but whenever somebody comes for a VIP day, I post it.

And people like, "Oh, you do VIP days?" And we ended up doing two to three a month. Mm. So now we're doing just on that vertical, 20 to 30, then it turned into 40. And then I remember you DMed me. Mm-hmm. "You're doing too many VIP days. That's because the price is too low."

Darnyelle: I do. I recall that.

Herman: Yes. The price is too low, so and then that business became so many other verticals because now I was focused on five-figure clients instead of being in the minutia of my subscription clients that were only $50 a month, and-

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm

Herman: it opened up to speaking engagements, and the brand is the brand at this point. The journey has been absolutely amazing, and it... And I know this is not a testimonial video, but literally my life changed after A'tia introduced you to me.

Darnyelle: Yeah. I mean, listen. And just- This is my show, so we can make it what we wanna [00:19:00] make it, right?

We, we wanna make it.

Herman: Okay. But,

Darnyelle: and here's the thi- here's what I got excited about. I have a video of you from Move to Millions one year saying before you met me, you were doing about 750, and we took you to three million. Then I run into you in the airport in Atlanta, and you tell me you're doing $1.5 million every six weeks running the same play I taught you during our VIP day.

Herman: During the V- yes. We, we absolutely scaled. And so,

Darnyelle: you know, I'm, I'm a numbers girl, right? And so I'm like, okay. Right It- we did this VIP day in 2023, I think it was. So- Mm-hmm ... it's about three years ago we did this. Mm-hmm. He's now doing 1.5 every six weeks. That is approximately eight figures a year that he is- Yes

doing following a VIP day that he had with me. Correct. The reason I wanted to bring you on the podcast is not To absolutely tell your story. This is an amazing human, everybody who is [00:20:00] listening or watching, that you need to know. We will make sure that we put all of his details in the show notes so you can go and follow him.

He is prolific and powerful and benevolent and generou- generous. Like, the way that you occupy space, Herman, is so awe-inspiring. I am absolutely inspired by you. And to say that you were a client at one point in time, it lights me up totally. What I love- Oh, wow. Thank you. You are so welcome. And what I love is that, and it's not even just about the money.

Now, look, you know I can get excited about your business going from 750,000 to 3 million to- Mm-hmm ... eight figures a year- Mm-hmm ... because of the work that we did together. I can get excited about that all day. But what I get more excited about is the legacy. And what has happened because you did it [00:21:00] afraid, because you are obedient, because you gave your business the same respect you used to give your job.

These are all three powerful pillars, for those of you who are taking notes right now, that have made a difference on your move to millions. And today, you literally are creating financial legacy and wealth for your daughters and your family that most people will never, ever get to fathom inside of their life experience.

And you've been able to do that In part, and I'm only gonna take a small piece of, of the credit, because of- Right ... the time that we spend together. And so what I really would love to hear you share, 'cause it's, it's, you're at the point now where it isn't about the money, and I pray for everybody who is listening or watching that you get to the point in your life experience where it is not about the money.

'Cause I can [00:22:00] tell you as someone who also lives there, it is an amazing place to be when it is no longer about the money. And let's be honest and let's be real, there is a point in time when it is about the money. Especially until you become safe with it, you start to allow it to move to you on a consistent basis, and as it moves to you, instead of allowing it to burn a hole in your pocket, you allow it to create wealth for you.

Until that happens, you will likely be on the climb. But once it happens, once you anchor in, once you settle into the significance that wealth is in your DNA, everything begins to change. And Herman, that's where I want us to go in this conversation. 'Cause I have watched your walk. I've watched the way that you move.

I watch the way that you lead. I watch the way that you love. And it is a blueprint in and of itself. Mm. So take us down the path of when, [00:23:00] when it start... And I, I don't think, and please correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think that- It started with the money, 'cause I believe money only amplifies who you already are.

You were already benevolent. You were already generous. You were already a leader. You were already a servant, and now because you have resource that is unlimited, all of that has changed so substantially, and it's allowed you to really settle into being this human that God knew when he told you to leave the job and sent the video and then your wife to tell you it's time to go, and then came back and said, "No, no, no, not in two weeks, today."

So, like, walk us through how you got to the point where you could even put your focus on legacy and just allow yourself to be this amazing vessel that you are today. [00:24:00] And take your time with it. Um- Unpack it however you wanna unpack it. I'm sitting back. I, I'm here for the- Absolutely ... whole piece of it, the whole masterclass.

Okay.

Herman: Uh, I think, 'cause there's so many intangible things that you taught by accident, right? Mm-hmm. That was said to me before, but I never paid attention to it. Number one, money is a tool to build so many things. The definition of what money is changed to me, and we kinda talked about that when we were on, when we was on the plane coming from Atlanta and- Mm-hmm

to speak to your pivot that, that we spoke about. And then the main thing that money has become is, is, is a freedom tool. It is very specific to what it is. And then it's an amp- amplification for other areas in my life, because right now I can go to the bank and ask them for a million dollars, or I can go to my tribe and be like, "Hey, how can I be of service to you, income and impact, and you give me a million dollars?"

Mm-hmm. Right? So now I have that million dollars, and then I leverage that million dollars to invest [00:25:00] in so many other things to even give me more time. Yeah. So I took that money and now we're investing in real estate, and then I can go back to my students, "Hey, this is what I did with the money you gave me."

Right? So I'm teaching them something new, too. And now that I have increasing freedom time, I'm able to retire my mother. I was able to take care of my father and have nurses come to the house before he passed away. I'm able to take my kids out of school. "You're not going to school today 'cause we're gonna do this, and I'm gonna give you an experience that you just wouldn't have learned."

I'm able to tell my kids, "Hey, we're not gonna celebrate Christmas the same way we did anymore. I'm not giving you any gifts. We're going to this or we're going to Texas, we're going to the Bahamas every Christmas. That is your gift. I'm gonna give you a, an experience." So that journey of how money amplified and changed my life is significant.

In addition to the ways that money has changed the relationship I have with other people, the good and bad with that, right? Mm-hmm. 'Cause people had to watch me Go from making [00:26:00] $29,000 a year as a social worker to making multi-millions of dollars, right? Without me saying it out loud, 'cause I wasn't comfortable saying it, 'cause I was very uncomfortable talking about it, and again, I've had a bunch of conversations with you about it.

No, say it proudly. This is what God has blessed you with. 'Cause if God has healed me of cancer, I'll be shooting it from the roof- shouting it from the rooftops too.

Darnyelle: Correct. And in fact- Yeah ... let's pause right there, and let's say that again. Yeah. Because I, I think people, a lot of people are very uncomfortable talking about money, but here's what I know, what I know you now know.

Money is an energy, and money is like any relationship you have with any other person, and if you are afraid to have conversations with people, and you don't create space for people to feel safe around you, they won't spend time with you. Well, money is no different. And so if you can't talk about it, you absolutely won't be about it.

And so- Yeah ... getting to the point of being able to say, "I've made," whatever the number is, like you're [00:27:00] saying, "My favorite color is"- Mm-hmm ... is essential to the journey of becoming the sanctuary, right? You know, and we talked about that on the plane, right? And the, the evolution of my work and helping people feel safe in their relationship with money and wealth.

Darnyelle: That allows you to create the experiences for your daughters, and I love that, right? 'Cause I think, you know, when you're new to money, yes, you buy all the things. Yeah. But eventually it gets old. Mm-hmm. There's only so many Rolexes you can have, right? There's only so many cars.

There's only so many things. But we can never get tired of the experiences that we create, right? And I, I told you, I'm on a gap year this year, and I'm traveling all year. I'm going to Turkey and Greece and Portugal and Amsterdam and Cape Town. I'm going all these places that I've never seen, 'cause I was born in the [00:29:00] projects of Wilmington, Delaware.

Right. And this year, my 50th year, is all about me getting out and seeing the world and using the resource from my reservoir to be able to have these experiences. And so the fact that you are able to do this for your girls, who are six and eight, and what I love- Mm-hmm ... about that is I talk a lot about your inner seven-year-old.

So from birth until the age of seven, who you are to become is being formed. Because when we're born, we only have a subconscious mind, and our conscious mind is created from the experiences that we have, what we are taught and what we have caught from those who are raising us. And what I love is that your daughters are being taught abundance and benevolence- Yeah

and generous and generosity. Yeah. They're being taught these things at six and eight, and they're going to be those things at 42 and 48. Like, it's who they be because it's who you be. Yeah. And that, I think, is the real legacy.

Herman: And [00:30:00] watching that is interesting, too, right?

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: Watching my daughters grow up this way and it's their norm-

Darnyelle: Yeah

Herman: it, it's interesting. It... That's all I can say. So, like, "Hey, Dad, are we going to Steak 48?" My six-year-old. "I really love the lobster." And it sounds crazy, but she's serious. Yeah. Or, "Can we go to the hotel with the pool in the sky?" She's talking about the Four Seasons. She loves going to the Four Seasons 'cause there's a pool- Yeah

on the top floor. Or, you know, sometimes we, um, we put them in first class, and, oh, I really love it up here, and they're giving my kids towels. Me watching that, again, it's very interesting. Them experiencing it is interesting. And them growing up Feeling that it is the norm is also interesting. I try to, I don't know what it is, and I, I guess we'll talk about this offline, you could therapize me.

Trying to, this is my norm for my children-

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm ...

Herman: um, is interesting because we, we love to do daddy-daughter weekends in New York.

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: Um, I go [00:31:00] to the American Express p- portal, give me a five-star hotel. I'm taking my girls. We're walking through Central Park and my daughter sees a homeless person.

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: Bella. She's like, "Oh my God, it's a homeless person. Daddy, give me some money." Right? I'm grateful she understood the mission. Yeah. I, 'cause I don't think I've ever Yeah ... called her that. Gave her some money. She went and gave it to the gentleman, right? And then she turns to her sister and was like, "Wow, I've never seen a homeless person before."

That messed me up, too. Mm. Because they're normal to me, but I was like, of course, we live in the suburbs. Where would she have ever ran into- Yeah ... a homeless person, right?

Darnyelle: But I think what's great- So the li- ... is she sees the homeless person and she doesn't judge the homeless person. She wants to help-

Herman: Help

Darnyelle: the homeless person ... the homeless person.

Herman: Yeah. And I gave her no fear, 'cause I don't know what that guy was about.

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: But I gave it to her. I was like, "Go give it to him." Yeah. And then she walked up to this homeless man unaf- unafraid, and I didn't wanna ruin the innocent like, "No, [00:32:00] he's-

Darnyelle: Yeah ...

Herman: I didn't wanna be that person.

Just, "Daddy's right here. Go ahead, go give him the money." And they both walked up, gave him the money, and he was super grateful. And that w- that was a lesson there. So many lessons for me, too. I was like, wow, I, my, my kids really aren't growing i- up in that environment. They, they probably would have never seen that.

But they knew what to do, so there was gratitude in that. But yeah, seeing my daughters grow up in this world, but still have to, there's some lessons they s- I still feel they need to learn. I don't know why I feel they need to learn these lessons of Black, not everybody has this. This is not the norm.

Mm-hmm. So we went to VIP day in Disney World where we get a concierge that walks us everywhere, backstage passes. Mm. We walk to the front of the line. It is better than the FastPass. And then it's like a 12-hour pass, but then the concierge has to go home. Mm-hmm. So it's like 8:00, 9:00, an hour before the fireworks, so they wanna go on some more rides.

So we had to get in a line.

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: And my daughter was like, "Yes, what's going on?" Right? Why we have to stand in line? I was like, "Oh, Chloe's not here anymore." So she's like, "Why do we have to stand [00:33:00] here?" And my daughter has, we've gone to Disney World every year she's been alive, and she's never had to stand in line, so I was like, "Oh, there's some lessons we gotta, we gotta teach."

I was like, "No, sometimes you have to stand in line, sweetie." But it was a, a good l- me and my wife laughed about it. I was like, "Oh my God, our kids are spoiled." I was like, "I know. We'll, we'll work on those nuances," but I enjoy- Well,

Darnyelle: it's not that they're spoiled. Mm-hmm. It's their- What's the

Herman: word then?

Darnyelle: Their reality is different And, and let's be, let's be honest and let's be so clear.

To be a parent for whom they can have a healthy relationship with- With money ... with money- And time ... and with experiences and the best of the best is essential. And you, I believe you are, you, both of you are doing the right thing. Like, it's, 'cause they could be entitled and they could be snots. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, mm-hmm,

Herman: mm-hmm, mm-hmm.

Darnyelle: Or they could have and they could be generous. Mm-hmm. And so you do have, you are striking the [00:34:00] right balance, and I think that it is important to continue to show them what other people are experiencing, not from a nana nana boo boo kind of energy- Mm-hmm ... but from a, this is h- why we have this, right? Like, as your daughters c- continue to come of age, I know we talked about, you know, you teaching them how to open bank accounts and how money works and how to do- Mm-hmm

the things so that their money will multiply for them because that's ultimately what they should experience. That should be ingrained in them because that is h- what their life is now, right? They don't have the experience that you or I had growing up, and as a result, learning these things at a young age will continue to flower them.

Teaching them about tithing, and not the religiosity of tithing, but just the, the benefit- Principle ... of giving, right? The principle- Mm-hmm ... of giving. And when you are a giver, money is always moving. And the more we put out, the more we [00:35:00] put back, for whatever. Like, I had to even, I was talking to one of my nieces, my 10-year-old niece, and she was like, you know, "Aunt Darny, I wanna spend money on this."

And I was like, "Vicky, we, we don't spend money. We make investments." Because every time we invest, we get a return on our investment. And sometimes we are investing in ourselves to get the things that we desire. I don't use the word want around them because want is a lack word. Want denotes that something is missing.

Desire- Mm-hmm ... on the other hand, not only does it in Latin mean of the Father, but it just vibrates- Mm-hmm ... higher and it means that I am already whole and complete and I am just looking to add to my experience, not, there is nothing lacking. Mm-hmm. So I said to her- Mm-hmm ... I said, you know, "We invest in the things we desire."

Herman: Mm-hmm,

Darnyelle: mm-hmm. And, and even in teaching her that, she now is really thinking through what does she actually [00:36:00] spend her resource on. Is it something she really desires, or is it something that is an indication that she is lacking?

Herman: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm. And she only gets to know that because of the way that I move.

So your girls are getting to learn this because of the way that you move. And as you introduce them to, you know, homeless people or other things that are not in their immediate life experience, the lens that you're introducing it to them is what will keep them healthy- Mm-hmm ... as they experience it, and teach them what they should do when they see it so that they don't cower from it or feel like they are above it, if that makes sense.

Herman: No, it makes a lot of sense. It makes a lot of sense. Yeah. And the life that we're, we're creating right now for them, the, the seeds that we're planting right now for them, I could drop dead tomorrow, God forbid, there's assets and there's life insurance policies, so they won't lose this life. This is what it [00:37:00] will- Yeah

this is what it will be. So ensuring that I teach them what they need to, to know to have or make a million dollars a year and have access to a million dollars a year is super important now because as far as I'm concerned, they will always have seven figures a year at minimum.

Darnyelle: As they should, because that's normal and baseline for them.

Herman: That's normal and baseline for

Darnyelle: them, right. It's baseline. It's normal, right? And, and that's ultimately what we're all trying to do, is to get to the point where whatever the number is, it's normal and baseline. I think about my own journey when I s- you know, came out, started my business, was making no money, ended up filing bankruptcy, went back to work.

While I was in that job, working on nights and weekends to get my business to six figures, right? And, and so initially, that was my baseline. I wanted to have a six-figure business because I had a six-figure career that I left. And then eventually I was like, you know what? Six figures a year is great, but I want six figures a month.

What do I need to do? Who do I need to become in order to experience [00:38:00] six figures a month? And then it became, okay, six figures a month was great. I really wanna see what it looks like to experience six figures a week. Who do I need to become in order to invite six figures every single week into my life experience?

And then once I did that consistently, then it was like, oh, you know what? I wanna have six figure days. Who do I need to become in order to invite six figures in a day into my life experience, and that become normal, baseline, run-of-the-mill, unremarkable? That's what we're after. We're not after the celebration points.

'Cause when we celebrate, we're telling our subconscious mind that this is not regular, this is not every day, this is once in a while, it's a special occasion. And so what we're after are the moments that anchor into our body as we can always experience this. And so as you set this baseline for your girls of this is what they can always experience, and [00:39:00] you back it up with the literacy and the education, it will be what they always experience.

And the best part, Herman, is that their children and their children's children and their children's children's children will always experience it well because it's so ingrained in them, and you've done it from birth to the age of seven that it's who they be, it's who they will be. It's, it's forever.

That's legacy.

Herman: Very much so. Yeah, and it'll be ingrained in them because we're, I'm literally changing the financial DNA of my family. I had to grab a pen and write it down.

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: Not what do I need to do to make seven, six figures a month, who do I need to become first? Mm-hmm. Listen, I'ma create a whole thing on that.

Yeah. So I'll send you, I'll send you, I'll send you, um, some money.

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: That right there was, who do you need, you need to become something first before- Yeah ... what do I need to do?

Darnyelle: So let's go- Yeah ... [00:40:00] biblical. So let, let me tell you where I got that from, right? Okay. So we've all heard the saying, "Be it to become it."

Well, let's go to the Bible, Genesis 1 and 28. So this is, God has just created all the things. He looked around. He saw it was good. He rested. He then comes in at verse 26 and says, "Let us create man in our image and likeness. Let us give him power, authority, and dominion over all the things I just created."

And then before there is an Adam or an Eve, God gives the very first command, and that command is simply, "Be fruitful and multiply." Be. He doesn't say do fruit things. He says be, the state of being. And so I was like, "Okay, God, what does this mean?" I was in the shower about three years ago, Herman, and God said, "Effort will not make the millions, embodiment will."

And I was like, "Wait a minute. What you talking about, Willis? Effort will not make the millions, embodiment will. Okay, God, what, what do you mean when you say embodiment?" [00:41:00] So first he took me back to Genesis 1 and 28, "Be fruitful and multiply." The state of being, who are you, the identity of you. Who you be is your identity, so it's an identity thing, number one.

And then he took me to Exodus. In the Book of Exodus, it's, you know, the children of Israel are free from slavery. They have not yet inhabited the promised land. Throughout the Book of Exodus, God says many times, I can't even tell you, I could probably Google it, "Enter and occupy." Enter and occupy. Okay, enter is to inha- to come in to a place, and when you come into that place, come in and occupy.

Occupy is like ownership, like it's yours, right? When you come, when you enter your house, you occupy it. It is your place. When you go into a room, when you're going to be speaking, when you walk in the room before you take the stage, you enter and then you inhabit. You fill up the space so that it [00:42:00] becomes one with you so that as you occupy, you are embodying, you are being the deliverer of that word, of that message in that moment for those people.

When we, when we be fruitful, fruitful is the state of offering something that brings value. That is what multiplies. So as you teach your daughters, as you teach yourself, as you ask, "Who do I need to become? Who, who must I be in order to invite six figures a day, six figures an hour, six figures a minute, six figures a second into my life experience?

Who must I be for that to happen?" Whenever we ask a question, this is also biblical, Matthew 7 and 7, the word says, "Ask and it is given." There is no condition. When we ask, we must be given an answer. So when we say, "Who must I be for whatever [00:43:00] And we get, we will get an answer. And if we follow the instruction of the answer, then we will experience the multiplication based on who we b- who we were, who we became in that moment.

When I learned this, I mean, you can see I'm, like, all animated and all of that. Mm-hmm. When I learned that, it changed everything for me. It is why my work is evolving. It is why I created Sanctuary, because people need to understand the state of being and how to shift their identity like you are able to do As you were.

I, I think about another story and then I'm gonna be quiet 'cause I know you have a reflection. In, in, in Luke, there were some men with leprosy who came to Jesus wanting to be healed. Jesus didn't even touch them. He said, "You are healed." That was an identity that they chose to take on, and the word [00:44:00] says, "As they were walking, they were healed."

So they got a new identity, they chose to enter and occupy the new identity, and as a result, the identity became true for them in an instant. So that's why I wanted you to understand it's just the being. There is no effort. You never have to expend effort. And think about the money that you make. Think about the 1.5 million that you're making today every six weeks.

What are you doing? You are showing up and being who you are- Yeah ... for a room full of people who saw the value in who you be to invest in themselves to create an environment for their investment to multiply. And because you were just being and you, as you are being, you are producing fruit, your fruit is also multiplying to the tune of $1.5 million every six weeks.

Herman: Mm-hmm.

Darnyelle: I'm gonna just sit [00:45:00] that right there. I, I can't wait to hear what you got to say.

Herman: My reflection is 'cause things... My flaw is, you know, when they ask you that trick question on the interview, "What is your biggest weakness?" I'm like, "I'm trying to get this job. I don't have a weakness." My biggest, my biggest weakness is that I'm still so close to what the person that I used to be- Mm

that I reflect on it, right? So all this, I feel like I'm living with my... I'm dreaming with my wise, my eyes wide open, is very like, like, we can't believe this happened, right? Sometimes it's normal. Sometimes I'm like, "Oh, we did a million. Great. We hit our goal." But sometimes it is unreal. Mm. Biblically, there are just certain principles and truth.

If you do this, this will happen. Like you just said it. Mm-hmm. If you ask, an answer has... It's a principle. He has to answer you.

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: Right? So my first million was made on principle. Mm. The application of the rules of money, submitting to Yeshua, investing. It's just, it's principle.

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: Right? I just apply [00:46:00] principle.

Whether I was a Satanist or whether I was a Christian, it's a principle that is embedded in the DNA of what God created, right?

Darnyelle: Correct.

Herman: Who I needed to become, though, came later. Mm-hmm. Where you spoke about authority, right? And dominion. I had to embrace and become the authority in my life over all things, and how I speak started to become different.

Mm-hmm. So literally I was like, "Okay, well-" Like, and I didn't know I said it to myself, but you, you spoke it. You was like, "Who do I need to become?" Because I was uncomfortable asking for $10,000. Mm-hmm. I had to become a different person to say with a straight face, "It's only $10,000." I remember the first time I said it.

Mm. I was like, "Oh, it's only 10,000." And the person on the call was like, "I beg your pardon, sir. Only?" Because I had become somebody different. It's only 10,000 to that person. They're not who I am yet. [00:47:00] So it's- Yeah ... everything to them, right? So I am in alignment and in agreement with you saying that, oh, that's what happened to me.

I had to, I had to become that first in order to get that. Now, learning who to become, the levels of that is interesting. So now I have to become a... Who do I need to become to make a million dollars a month, right?

Darnyelle: Right.

Herman: Like, what is the mindset that needs to happen so that the energy, universe, Yeshus will trust me with that type of money?

What are you gonna do if I gave you a million dollars a month?

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: And I'm in rooms, doctor, with people where a million dollars a month is- Is chump change ... abject poverty. It's poverty. Yeah. I have a, I have a billionaire mentor, Jeremy, went to K- Lexington, Kentucky, and I'd never seen money like that before.

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: Like, you could just Oh. So he showed me a $20 million horse.

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: And I was like, "That horse is $20 million, and, and I'm just gonna be a kid from Brooklyn. [00:48:00] Why?"

Darnyelle: Right. "

Herman: You're gonna have to explain this to me." And then he laughed 'cause he knew, like, he was like, "Okay, this is why it's 20 million, because his father won, his mother won the Kentucky Derby, and every time it, um, it, it sires, it, it, it's 750...

It's 250 a pop."

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: I was like, "Thousand?" "And it does it three times a day."

Darnyelle: Mm.

Herman: And then I did the math. I was like, "Every day?" He's like, "Every day. And he has thousands of horses on this ranch."

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm. "

Herman: And it's the most beautiful thing you've ever seen, the white picket fences." I was like, "Oh, and this is just his...

This is where he had to put money 'cause he makes so much money. He had to buy stuff, buy investments. His garage is a, a, another ranch building with 100 cars in it, you know, from the DeLorean from the movie, from Back to the Future, to the electric Rolls-Royce Spectre." Like, I'm like, "Oh." He- Yeah, like that. I was like, "Oh, this is crazy."

Right? Who did he have to

Darnyelle: become? But what I love is exposure creates expansion. Oh, God. So because you have access- To not see it ... to [00:49:00] someone for whom a million dollars a day is like water, it expands you. So if we go all the way back to one of the earlier things I said, Oliver Wendell Holmes says, "Once a mind has been expanded, it cannot return to the same place."

Herman: Cannot return.

Darnyelle: So- Cannot ... if as you expand, you ask yourself, who must I be to live into this expansion, then you become the person for whom a million dollars a day is normal, average, everyday, re- unremarkable, run-of-the-mill. Mm-hmm. We're perpetually and consistently becoming. We're, we're in... If we are in alignment with our divine birthright, we are consistently being and becoming, and it, and the more time we can spend being and becoming, the less time we spend in doing, the faster [00:50:00] whatever it is we desire shows up to our life experience.

Mm-hmm. Because it is only when we be that we have the potential to multiply. Doing doesn't multiply. Being multiplies. Multiplies, right.

Herman: Being, being multiplies so much so, so that's another lesson I'm gonna have to, um, add into my VIP days now, um,

Darnyelle: Or you could just, you, yeah, since you're doing group VIP days, we could just talk about me coming and I can just do, you know, a 45-minute thing

Herman: You could, you could do the work.

You can do that work.

Darnyelle: I mean, I could, I could come and, and drop a couple of knowledge points for the people to help them to continue to expand so that they see the investment that they make in themselves and how to be able to pull that investment forward. Yeah, we could, we could have that sidebar conversation.

I would

Herman: love, I would love to continue to do business with you, absolutely.

Darnyelle: Yeah, definitely. So we've talked about a lot. We've talked legacy, we've talked identity, we've talked really just [00:51:00] foundational imprints that you're giving to your girls. When you think about how your life has changed because of the millions that are now normal, unremarkable, everyday, and baseline for you, is there anything else That, that bubbles up to the surface that you'd like to be able to share

Herman: We talked about, we, we kind of surfaced it how money changed me and my family.

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: But it, it changes everyone around you-

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm ...

Herman: how they see you. Before I get to that, I want to speak on my father for a little bit. Okay. And this is the only difficulty, 'cause this is the d- I wanna talk about the difficulty of money. The only difficulty is the success, I would say, not necessarily money, the success, is my father never got to see it.

So he was, I'm first generation Haitian, and he was just a hard work, just, he m- m- money equated, equaled work. You work hard, you make money, right? Yeah. So he never understood the principles and the concepts [00:52:00] that I learned, right? So but the foundation of hard work is definitely a principle that is affecting me in my life to this day.

Mm. So one of the hardest things about what I go through right now, and I, and I don't like to speak death into my life, but it's challenging to enjoy this life-

Darnyelle: Mm ...

Herman: because he's not here to see it, and he's not here to enjoy it. Yeah. And I, and I realize, I used to say to my kids, I'm like, "I'm planting seeds for fruit I will never see."

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: Right? I won't see, like, when my kids get a $10 million check when I pass away, but it'll be in a trust, and they'll get the interest off of it. But the point is, my kids are gonna get to... I'm not gonna see that, right? I'm not gonna see what they'll do with it and how they multiply. There's certain things I'm just not gonna see.

I'm just gonna be a, a, a painting on over the fireplace, "That was your grandfather. We have this because of him." Yeah. Right? So my dad didn't get that, right? And it's, um, even my brother, my brother's is opening up his third restaurant in two weeks. The first two have [00:53:00] already made multi-millions. It's almost kids m- it's almost unbelievable what he has, what he has done.

He was not a restaurateur, partnered with the right people, and now he's making millions. And then him, it's even difficult for him. Like, you'll see him crying from time to time. He's like, "Daddy didn't get to see this." So the wins, I still haven't figured out. It's only been 18 months. I still haven't figured out how to get past that, right?

Darnyelle: Yeah. That's number one. And you may never get past it.

Herman: Mm-hmm.

Darnyelle: It is a truth, and at the same time, you may not be able to see with your eyes when your girls get checks for $10 million each. However, you will know what they're going to do with it.

Herman: Mm-hmm.

Darnyelle: Because you're teaching them today. Mm-hmm. You're planting seeds that you will get to see sprout, even though you might not see the full tree.

Like, you will see the fruits of it because of what you're putting in them today. And I just heard this, and I don't know [00:54:00] if you... If you're open to it, I would highly recommend that you do it. I want you to write your dad a letter, and I want you to Express

the pain and the pleasure of the life he didn't get to see. And I want you to do it because I feel like it is taking up capacity that is meant to be available for more big things that God wants to do in you and offer to you. And so after you write this letter I want you to read it out loud, and then I want you to burn it.

And as you burn it, I want you to forgive yourself. I want you to forgive

Herman: your father,

Darnyelle: and not because h- he did anything wrong or you did anything wrong without him being here, but because forgiveness [00:55:00] is the way that we release the space and open and expand the capacity. Because what I hear the Holy Spirit saying right now, Herman, and it's one of my favorite scriptures, 1 Corinthians 2:9, "Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man what God has for those who love him."

I sense that there is much more, and not much more for the purposes of you having more things, but much more so that you can deepen your impact in your father's name. I don't know if you've already done this, but if there isn't already a foundation in your father's name, that is to be established. I see it very clearly.

And through the works of that foundation, your father, his legacy, everything that he entrusted to you, everything that he gave you, all of the [00:56:00] blood, all of the sweat, all of the tears, all of the hard work that he sowed in order for you to be the man who gets to live this today, you will be able to make him a benefactor as if he was here to share in all of the wealth that you are experiencing today because of everything that he placed on the inside of you while he was here.

So I, again, I don't know if there's already a, a nonprofit organization in his name, but there should be because that is the entity that I, I feel and sense with all of my being through which you do your benevolence so that your father gets to share in what you have created and are building and will leave to the world today because, because of that foundation in his name

Herman: I received that.

And because that's the second time I heard that-

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm ...

Herman: I think God is telling me that I should do that.

Darnyelle: Yeah. Like, 'cause I- I mean, that shows right now. Like, literally that was, that was me flowing. Like, that was not my original [00:57:00] thought construct, but I see it so clearly that that is how your father gets to be here and experience what you have been gifted to share with the world.

Through this foundation is that every time you give out a dime, you'll be giving it out in your father's name. Mm-hmm.

Herman: Hmm. No, I receive that. I, um... And the letter component is, is interesting because I don't believe in speaking to the dead, so I never be like, "Hey, Dad, I miss you." I don't speak to him.

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: 'Cause he's gone and he's asleep. He can't hear me. But writing the letter is, yeah, that is, um... That's pretty good. Mm-hmm. There's a lot to get out, and then burning it. Yeah, and then starting the foundation. I think, I think those are great ideas, and that's the second time I heard it, so I think... 'Cause I don't feel there's any...

Like you just said, not necessarily anything that you do to make me feel better. So when I, when the person first told it to me, I was like, "Well, that's not gonna make me feel better." But I, I, but you explained it in different way.

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: In a different way. Yeah, and that, that'll [00:58:00] definitely help on the healing journey.

Yeah. I appreciate that.

Darnyelle: Yeah, 'cause he, he will be there every time you give a dime away. Mm-hmm. So he is there. He did get to see it.

Herman: Mm-hmm. Yeah.

Darnyelle: He's in it. He's the impetus of it because there, just like there would be no Bella Slo- Sloan Enterprises were there, was there no relationship and marriage to Janelle- Mm

there would be no Herman if there was not- No Herman ... your father. Yeah. Like, you know what I mean? Like, so it is, it is leg- again, it's legacy, and it's the calling forward of what we have the power to do because we've gotten to the point where money is no longer this arduous thing that we're contending with.

It is, we are in, in relationship with it. We respect it, it respects us. We feel safe with it, it feels safe with, safe with us. And because it feels safe, it multiplies. And, and I, you know, I think about, uh, it's in [00:59:00] 1 Timothy 6:17. R- you know, everyone quotes 1 Timothy 6:10, "For the love of money is the root of all evil," but the real magic in that scripture is, starts at verse 17, and it, it gives you the three conditions under which it is, quote-unquote, okay to be wealthy.

The Bible says, number one, do good deeds. Number two, don't be arrogant and high-minded. And number three, remember the source of your wealth. So if you're willing to not be a jerk, if you're willing to give unto others, and you always remember that there was nothing you could do to create this money, it's all about who you be, then your coffers will always overflow.

There will always be plenty And it's really just that simple. And so I'm, I'm literally watching you walk this out in real life right now, and every seed that I [01:00:00] got to sow, some that are already sprouting into harvest, and even the ones that will continue to ruminate for more years before they sprout, I'm just honored and grateful that I get to be a part of the story.

Like- Aw ... it is amazing to me.

Herman: A massive, massive part of it. You can, um, in anyone's life, you can choose markers- Mm-hmm ... before and after this moment, before and after this moment. The, the day I met my wife, the day I married her, the, the day I had children, and this is not hyperbole, the day I met you. Yeah. I remember what my life was before and after.

I re- I, I remember the drive back from Delaware. Mm-hmm. I remember, and we're just talking, me to my CO, and I was like, "You think we can do that?" I literally had to become a different person. We had to think differently. You think we can do that? It still, it still had the tools and resources, and still the universe still had to speak to me.

Do you want the 10,000? Like, it's, they [01:01:00] still, it, it, I still had to be asked.

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: Do you want it? I can give it to you if you want it. Yeah. And I was like, "Yeah, I want it." And it was given to

me.

Darnyelle: Yeah, 'cause you have to decide, right? Yeah. Mm-hmm. So it's, it's not even just the asking, it's deciding. 'Cause there's a lot of people who ask, but then they decide something different, right? Because- They say, "Oh, I, I wanna make a million dollars a day," but then they decide that if they make a million dollars a day, that's too much money, or they're gonna have to pay too much taxes, or cousins are gonna come out of the woodwork, or whatever- Right

else they decide that gets in the way of the ask.

Herman: Right.

Darnyelle: The Bible says- Amen ... you have to believe and don't doubt in order to experience what it is that you believe, right? So, so yeah.

Herman: In addition- Go

Darnyelle: ahead ... in

Herman: addition to what you're saying When you d- the decision comes with [01:02:00] a level of execution 'cause for me to become somebody that makes a million dollars a month there's a work Like, am I ready to do that work?

Darnyelle: Yeah

Herman: Of what it takes to do that, and the, the responsibility and accountability is. Like, and then some people are like, "Nah, I'm good. No, I'll stay at the nine to five, no shade. No, I, I'm good at 10,000."

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: Because that other $1,000 a month is scary, right? Mm-hmm. Because they're so comfortable here. I am... And you saw me not two months ago, I lost 60 pounds last year, right?

Darnyelle: Mm-hmm.

Herman: That's, I'm a different person, and I had to do the work. And the work, whenever I tell people, "How'd you do it?" I was like, "Oh, I did the same thing for hundreds of days in a row."

Darnyelle: Yeah. The

Herman: consistency. It always stings in the back, because I was like, "No, it worked. I had to work really, really hard, right?"

And, "Are you afraid?" "Oh, I wanna do that, too." And I'm like, "Mm, you sure?" Yeah. "'Cause you can if you do exactly what I did and you're willing to do it hundreds of days in a row." "Hundreds?" I was like, [01:03:00] "Yes, there's 365 days in a year. I did the same thing hundreds of days in a row. I walked five miles a day hundreds of days.

I ate the same basic meal five days a week for hundreds of days, and this is the result, right?" Yeah. "And Doctor, I'm still doing it."

Darnyelle: Yeah, absolutely. I- Same thing. I lost 60 pounds, too. Yeah. And what I love about what you just said and what I just heard was action, not effort.

Herman: Mm-hmm. '

Darnyelle: Cause there's a difference.

Herman: Yeah.

Darnyelle: Right? Yeah. But the consistency of the action is the difference maker between those who are being and those who wanna be.

Herman: Mm-hmm. The consistency of the effort. Yeah. Yeah.

Darnyelle: The consistency of the effort. Consistency,

Herman: yeah. Um, and that's the cheat code to life, mentorship and consistency. You have to do it over and over again.

Fail over and over again, you're gonna get better and better at it. So a- anybody that's listening to this, how many times have you done the thing over and over [01:04:00] that you said you wanted to do? How many times have you practiced it? How many times have you pressed play on that workout video? How many times have you watched the, the, the classes that Dr.

Darnyelle has, has put in front of you? How many times have you listened to the podcast? It dictates a lot, a lot for me. I lost weight after one man said this one thing. He was like, "I know how disciplined you are by the size of your stomach."

Darnyelle: Ooh. I was like- "What you mean?" Yes, clutching your pearls. Like... "

Herman: Beg your pardon?"

He's like, "It tells me everything I need to know about you."

Darnyelle: Wow.

Herman: And I was like, "Wow." And he was like, "Because this, your body," for those listening, "your body's the most important thing you have, and if you're not taking care of this, you're not taking care of that, 'cause how you do anything is how you do everything."

Darnyelle: That

Herman: is

Darnyelle: so good. He's like, "Your..." He's like, "Your stomach tells me." Oh my gosh, that is so good. I mean, I- Yeah ... so I went to the doctor's and I- Mm-hmm ... on my 48th birthday, you know, just getting my annual physical, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, pre-diabetic. Wow. The doctor did not say anything eloquent, but [01:05:00] what I heard him say is, "If you don't make a change-" I don't know how many more times I'm gonna get to see you.

And I made a decision, and we talked about decisions earlier. I decided to treat my body as my temple instead of a trash can, because prior to that, I was treating it like a trash can. So even as I hear you say, I can, I can understand how disciplined you are by how big your stomach is, I'm like, ooh. Yeah.

It is true. Because since I decided that my body is my temple and it's not my trash can, what I put in it is different. Mm-hmm. And that is a big part of what has reshaped the way that I look- Yeah ... and the way that I feel, and who I even get to be every single day. So yeah, that's, that's powerful.

Herman: Yes. It, it- That's powerful

you see how it hit you? That's how it hit me. Yeah.

Darnyelle: I was like, "Okay, got it." Yeah. Be right back. Okay. Be right back. BRB. Be right back. Yeah. Yeah, no, that's- Be right back ... really, really good. This has been amazing. Before I ask you our Move to Millions questions, I do [01:06:00] just wanna... We, you know, we touched a little bit on our work together, but I also wanna just give you the forum, and I'm gonna ask you one question, right?

If someone were to come up to you and say, "Hey, I'm thinking about working with Darnyelle," what would you say to them?

Herman: What took you so long? What took you so long? 'Cause I know that you've heard about her before, right? What took you so long? The, the second thing, she only takes wires. The third thing is, it's the best decision you'll ever make.

Darnyelle: Nice. Mm-hmm. Thank you for that. I appreciate that. That's it. All right. Our Move to Millions questions. So again, I'm gonna give them to you all at once. You answer in the order that works best for you. But because- Okay ... my conversations are seldom this strategy or that strategy, I always like to ground the conversation in tools that I know will support our listeners' professional library.

So I would like to know the book, the quote, and the tool that have made [01:07:00] a difference at, on your own move to and beyond the million-dollar mark. The book, the tool, and the quote.

Herman: Okay. So I have books

Darnyelle: Okay

Herman: Just two-

Darnyelle: A couple books is fine, yeah ...

Herman: um, yeah, a couple books. So the generic one everyone should know about, Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, 'cause I literally had a poor dad, right?

Mm. And I have a tagline that says, "Audit your circle." My dad was the first person I had to audit outside of my, um, financial circle, 'cause my dad, um, was a janitor and he made, like, 50,000 a year. He didn't know how to make a million dollars. So the advice and the, the good counsel he was giving me was for that, right?

My dad prepared me for a world that no longer exists. My dad didn't know AI was coming.

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: Right? My dad was an immigrant from Haiti, and he was taught, "If you get an education, you will be fine." To some extent, the, [01:08:00] the... what education is now is totally different. Right. So I got a, I got a rich dad, and then my rich dad taught me about money, finances, insurance policies, taxes, and my mind was blown.

I was like, "Oh, this is how y'all make money?" Yeah. And he's like, "Yeah. It's pretty simple, compounded over time." So Rich Dad Poor Dad, definitely read that book. The second one is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, connecting it to all the biblical principles that we've been talking about today. Whatever I say is what I am, right?

So I think about it, I become it, and then I am, and I execute the plan to make it happen. So those are the books, the tools We're just, we're just gonna have to talk about the obvies here. What has significantly scaled my business is using, is using AI, using Claude and the connectors that it has. So I could connect it to my email, I could connect it to Hicksfield, I could connect it to Apify, and, uh, let me bore you for a little bit.

So why'd you do that? I can tell Claude, "Hey, Claude, scan my emails," 'cause I connected it to [01:09:00] my email. "Can you scan my email?" 'Cause we forget things. "Can you scan my email from the last 30 days and tell me what emails I have not replied to where the sender has requested something of me?"

Darnyelle: Mm.

Herman: Or vice versa.

I've sent an email to somebody and I forgot I sent it to them, and they didn't reply back to me, and it'll give me a list. Mm-hmm. And then it'll be like, "Hey, do you want me to write up a draft for all of them?" Like- Right ... that is a great tool. Or I can tell it, "I need you to do that once a week and every Monday."

Mm. Put it in, um, send me the task, or I can... So it's, it's amazing. Or I can be like, "Hey, you have my picture, my avatar. Create me a content about the, the top five banks that give you $10,000 in funding," and it'll create the entire video, right? That is- It's an actual tool that I use- Mm ... and it's, it's on the spot.

So, um, Claude is, has been absolutely amazing. The quote, let's continue to be biblical.

Darnyelle: Okay. "

Herman: Faith without works is dead," James 2:26.

Darnyelle: [01:10:00] Yeah.

Herman: Faith is one thing, right? And I, and I'm, I'm so glad that, that, that Yeshua said, added the part of works to it.

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: I believe in Jesus Christ, I believe in myself. That's wonderful.

Those are great things to say.

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: But there's a work that is needed that everyone is afraid to do, 'cause I'm not sure everybody is, is prepared to pay the cost of the work, right?

Darnyelle: That's good.

Herman: And-

Darnyelle: Yeah ...

Herman: yeah, the cost of the work. Everybody wants to be a millionaire, everybody wants this and everybody wants that, doctor, but nobody's willing to put the down payment.

Darnyelle: Right.

Herman: You want the house, you gotta put 20% down or 3.5% down for FHA. You want the brand-new car, if you don't have the credit, you're gonna have to put something down on it. Nobody wants to put a down payment on anything. Nobody wants to work, uh, for the things that they believe and they, they think they deserve to have.

Darnyelle: Yeah.

Herman: And those people, ooh, I'm trying to work on them. They make my skin crawl, right? There's a cost to the things that you want. Are you willing to pay for it?

Darnyelle: Yeah, definitely. This has [01:11:00] been absolutely amazing. I cannot wait for us to share all your details and everything with the people. This has just been phenomenal.

I just, again, wanna say thank you. Thank you for trusting me- And continuing to be an example of what it looks like to learn something, apply something, and then when you learn and apply something, actually allow it to anchor into who you be. So it ha- it was my joy and privilege to serve you then, and I get so much excitement watching you now.

And, um, I can't wait for the next time for us to work together.

Herman: Absolutely. I look forward to it. Thank you. Thank you to all the listeners. Definitely tap into Doctor, she's an amazing investment of time and of, for your money. I appreciate you so much, Doctor. I'm honored.

Darnyelle: Awesome. This was

Herman: great.

Darnyelle: Was that not the most juicy conversation you have ever [01:12:00] had in your life?

Oh, my goodness, y'all. I am still vibrating so high right now just thinking about so much that Herman shared with us from his legacy, his beautiful daughters, Bella and Olivia, his amazing wife, the legacy of his father, and how he has shifted who he be and become the version of himself for which wealth and legacy is his birthright and it is his everyday, average, unremarkable life experience.

I am so grateful that you had an opportunity to hear everything that he had to share, that you got to listen in to his favorite books, and that you now know that it is well within your reach and your realm of reality to shift and change everything to experience millions in a way that you may have never previously thought was possible.

It has been my joy, my [01:13:00] honor, and my privilege sharing this powerful conversation with you, and I will see you all next time. Take care.

Herman: Thank you for tuning in to
