Ep 421: The Survival Tax: Why More Money Still Doesn’t Feel Safe
Welcome to Season 8 of the Move to Millions® Podcast! Effective this season we are excited to announce that we have joined the Urban One Podcast Network.
This is the 1st part of the Hidden Taxes That Are Costing Your Millions Series
This episode is powered by The Ascension Archetype Quiz.
Everybody assumes the goal is to make more money. It isn't. Because if more money automatically created peace, every seven-figure CEO would sleep like a baby. Instead, some of the highest earning entrepreneurs I know still wake up checking bank accounts, bracing for the other shoe to drop, and wondering if everything they've built could disappear overnight. That isn't wisdom. It isn't discipline. And it definitely isn't a money problem. It's something far more expensive. It's the hidden tax almost every successful entrepreneur is paying without even realizing it. If you've ever reached a goal and still couldn't exhale, this conversation is going to explain why... and more importantly, how to stop paying the bill.
If you're a six or seven figure CEO who thought more money would finally make you feel safe, this conversation is going to challenge everything you believe about success. The truth is, you can build the business, cross the income goal, win the awards, and still live every day waiting for the other show to drop. In the first episode of the Hidden Taxes series, Dr. Darnyelle introduces the Survival Tax, the invisible cost that quietly steals your peace, drains your leadership capacity, disrupts your decision making, and ultimately impacts your ability to sustain wealth. We explore entrepreneur burnout, financial anxiety, nervous system safety, CEO mindset, business growth, wealth consciousness, and why your biggest limitation isn't strategy. It's the part of you that's still trying to survive.
Here’s the truth: more money doesn't erase survival patterns. It amplifies them. If your nervous system still believes you're one bad month away from losing everything, no amount of revenue will ever feel like enough. Until safety becomes your new normal, success will always feel expensive.
You’ll walk away with the ability to identify the six hidden signs that you're leading from survival instead of security, understand how those patterns quietly tax your wealth and leadership, and discover why building internal capacity is the prerequisite to building external millions.
Grab your Move to Millions® Podcast Notebook, a pen and your favorite beverage and listen in to discover:
✔ How to recognize whether you're leading from survival instead of true security
✔ How to identify the invisible behaviors quietly taxing your capacity for millions
✔ How to begin building the internal safety required to sustain lasting wealth
✔And so much more
This episode is a call stop building your business from protection and start building it from peace. It is an invitation to recognize that success cannot outgrow the level of safety you allow yourself to experience.
This is your invitation to stop asking how to make more money until you've asked whether your body actually believes it's safe to keep it. Listen with honesty. Listen with curiosity. Listen as the leader you're becoming.

00:00:00] Safety, to be clear, is not the reward for scaling. Safety is the prerequisite. You build the capacity first, and the millions move to meet your capacity. And capacity, it gets built in a different kind of space
Welcome to the Move to Millions podcast. Each week we explore the intersection of business growth, neuroscience, money and wealth consciousness, leadership, and spiritual alignment so that you can build a business that funds your legacy without fragmenting your life. I'm Dr. Darnyelle, best-selling author and creator of the Move to Millions method.
And if there's one thing I'm clear about, it's that the Move to Millions is not just about business growth. It is an evolution of who you are and how you lead. And trust me when I tell you that until you are safe and secure in your relationships with yourself, money, wealth, and success, your move to millions is indeed in jeopardy.
My job is to equip you to become [00:01:00] your very own sanctuary for soul and strategy success. This is the Move to Millions podcast. Welcome home Before we dive into this week's episode, let me ask you something real quick. If this podcast has ever made you think deeper, shift something in your spirit, or take bold, bankable action in your business, would you do me a favor?
Would you take a moment and scroll down and leave us a rating or review? Listen, that's how we grow this message and get it into the ears of more seven-figure CEOs and seven-figure CEOs in the making. Your words matter. Your support matters. So please take a moment to go ahead, rate, review, and then come right back because this episode is about to shift everything.
You crossed the income goal. You know, the one that you used to pray about, the one that you swore once you finally hit it, you'd be able to exhale. And yet you [00:02:00] still woke up the next morning braced for it to all fall apart. Let's be clear. Money came in and the fear did not leave. It just got more expensive for you to be able to maintain.
Here's what I know. You can cross every income goal you ever set and still wake up bracing for the bottom to fall out or the other shoe to drop. And to be clear, that is not a money problem. That's a little something I like to call the survival tax. And every CEO pays taxes. You know all about the financial ones.
You've got an accountant, a CPA, or a CFO who helps you with all of those. But there is a whole nother set of taxes that you are paying that never show up on a single financial statement. I am talking about a little something I like to call the hidden taxes. You know, the ones that are quietly reducing your capacity for wealth, for leadership, for [00:03:00] impact and peace.
And this season of the podcast and this series specifically, we are auditing all of them. Eight hidden taxes that are costing you more than any line item your bookkeeper might ever find. And here's what I want you to know and understand about what we're covering in this series on the podcast. The goal is not to make you aware.
Let's be clear. Awareness is cheap. Our goal is to reduce your taxes, to settle the bill in full so that more of what you build actually reaches you, sustains you, and becomes part of your legacy. And today, in this episode, we're starting with the first one, the tax that is underneath all the other taxes because if you do not settle this particular one, every other tax we'll talk about in this series is going to get more expensive.
Today, my friends, we are talking about the survival tax. And here's something that I really want you to sit with [00:04:00] and anchor in, and if you know, you know. You can have all the money and still be operating from survival. You can have all the success and still be trying to figure out how to protect yourself.
You can have decades of evidence that you are safe and still feel in your body that you are one bad month away from losing it all. And as long as that is true for you, you will keep building a bigger business on top of a nervous system that does not actually believe that it has ever been safe. And you know what that means.
It means the bigger it gets, the more there becomes for you to protect, and the more the survival tax is actually going to cost you. The philosopher Biggie was right. More money can equal more problems. But I want you to stick with me in this series 'cause we're breaking all of that down. You are listening to the Move to Millions podcast.
I am your host, Dr. Darnyelle, award-winning CEO of Incredible One [00:05:00] Enterprises and the creator of several powerful business growth systems and frameworks, including the Move to Millions method that we base this powerful podcast on. This is part one in our brand-new series of season eight, The Hidden Taxes That Are Keeping You From Millions.
I want you to settle in. I've got eight powerful episodes for you where we break down eight powerful taxes. Now, if you are building a business that is supposed to fund a legacy and you cannot figure out why the success does not feel the way that you just knew that you knew it would, you are in the right place.
So I want you to plant yourself here for this series. I wanna invite you to subscribe if you're not already subscribed so that you don't miss a single episode of this series and this entire season. Now, I wanna be honest with you, I wanna tell you when I learned that money does not equal safety.
[00:06:00] I had crossed the million-dollar mark for the very first time back in 2014, and although over the years we've continued to hit seven figures, I've got the Inc. 5000 recognition, which is absolutely a big deal. I've had the awards, the clients that are getting life-changing results, 85 CEOs just like you experiencing their first or next seven figures all because of your girl.
Some of the people you love and watch online have come through my camp. And I built everything that I prayed for from the bottom. And can I be honest? I was still checking my numbers like the floor could open up underneath me at any moment and swallow me whole I would seriously, y'all, I would have a strong month and feel relief for about a day, and then the bracing would come right back.
What about next month? What if it doesn't repeat? What if this was a fluke? What if I will never do this ever again? What if they find out that I [00:07:00] do not actually have it all figured out? Listen, I had the revenue, I had the awards, I had the recognition, and I was still checking my numbers, like at any moment it could all disappear.
It all stems back from when I was a child at 16 and my dad stole my money. You'll have to go back and listen to that episode to learn more about that. Listen, all of the evidence said I was safe, but my body only knew how to brace, and it took me a really long time to understand why. Because on paper, none of it made sense.
I had all the proof. So why in the world did I not feel safe? But the fact of the matter is this: I did not learn survival in business. I learned it long before there was ever an Incredible One enterprise, right? I grew up in the projects of Wilmington, Delaware. Both of my parents struggled with some form of addiction, and by the time I was eight, my mother was in jail and my siblings [00:08:00] and I were packing up to move in with my father, who had his own addiction that he was trying to navigate.
He was a very functional addict, so you wouldn't be able to look at him and tell that he had a problem, but trust and believe, bro had a problem. I learned very early that the ground underneath me was not settled. It was not guaranteed, that it could fall out at any moment. That the people who were supposed to provide for me could not always provide.
And I learned very early that the way to protect myself was to brace, because bracing is what keeps you ready, and if you stay ready, you don't have to get ready. And then as I became an adult, even though I advanced to vice president, I quit my job on a hunch. I built that banging Mary Kay Cosmetics consultancy, got the pink Cadillac, sent the pink Cadillac back.
Decided to bet on myself, and then watched it all collapse into bankruptcy before I ever became what I thought was even possible for [00:09:00] me. So by the time I finally built this company, the company that would work, my nervous system literally had two decades of evidence that safety was a thing that was very temporary, and no single deposit was big enough to overwrite that.
Because the survival tax, I want you to hear me, it is not paid from your bank account. It is paid out of your body. And here is the thing I think at this moment I most need for you to hear, because I know some of you have a much warmer and fuzzier origin story than I do, and you are still bracing. Hey, I hate to interrupt the goodness that's happening right now in this episode, but I need you to do me a quick favor.
If this episode is blessing your life and business right now, will you take a few moments and rate and review the show? Your words help more millions-minded entrepreneurs find us and step into their next level. All right. Thank you so much. Let's get back into the [00:10:00] conversation, 'cause we're just getting started.
Let's be clear. Trauma it's all about your nervous system, and more importantly, what your nervous system learned. Because at some point, your nervous system learned that letting your guard down is dangerous, and this is something that most high performers deal with and experience.
The very thing that make us successful, the vigilance, the readiness, the ability to anticipate the problem before it arrives, is the very same thing that is now taxing your capacity to enjoy everything that you've built. And let's be clear, this is not just my story I have found so much evidence and research as I've been preparing for season eight.
There was a survey that was conducted with nearly 1,900 adults by the investing app Acorns, and they found something that literally made me wanna swallow my tongue. It wasn't new information, but the way they reported it is what made the difference. Financial [00:11:00] anxiety, they say, does not significantly decrease as income rises.
More money in the data does not reliably buy you less fear. People assume that the anxiety is about the number, so what do they do? They chase a bigger number, and then they get the bigger number, but the anxiety is still sitting right next to them waiting, watching the clock, wondering if it's ever going to be dismissed.
But here's what I want you to understand, the anxiety is never about the number. There's a financial psychologist that I've been following, Dr. Brad Klontz, who spent years studying what he calls money scripts. These are the beliefs about money that we absorbed early, usually before we are old enough to question anything, typically from birth to the age of seven.
I call this your inner seven-year-old. And in his research, he shows something that really should change how you think about your own success. According to Dr. [00:12:00] Klontz, these money scripts, especially the ones that we form around early financial instability, can become very resistant to change even when the change is preventing them from self-destructing.
Now, apparently all of these scripts, they run below your conscious awareness, and they do not automatically dissolve just because your income goes up. Here's what I want you to understand. You can have complete insight into why you feel unsafe and still feel unsafe. Insight is not the same thing as safety.
You cannot strategize your way out of survival state Your nervous system overrides strategy every single time. Remember, when your survival brain comes online, your success brain checks out. This is why some of the smartest CEOs that I know and you know sometimes are the ones who are the most stuck.
They keep trying [00:13:00] to solve a body problem with a business solution: a new funnel, a new offer, a new revenue goal, and none of it touches the very thing that is actually running the show, their nervous system. Now, I wanna take a moment, and I wanna get practical for you because I don't wanna just give you information.
I believe that information without application is a waste of your time and mine. So I took the time to come up with six signs that you are running a business from survival mode and paying the survival tax, and I want you to notice which ones make you feel the most uncomfortable. I want you to notice which ones land in your body, and I want you to notice what your body does as I relay each of these signs to you.
Sign number one You cannot, no matter how hard you try, celebrate. You hit a goal, the goal you have been praying for, that's been sitting on the vision board, and within hours you have already moved the goalpost. [00:14:00] The win, it did not register. You are not ungrateful, it's just your survival brain simply did not log safety, so it logs the next threat.
So the milestone that you would have cried about, and called everybody, and shouted from the rooftop five years ago barely gets a breath today. Now, here's what I want you to know and understand. If you cannot let a win land, it has nothing to do with how driven you are. It has everything to do with how braced you are, how much you contract.
Sign number two, you hoard. Now, here's what I want you to understand. Hoarding money and opportunities is not the goal. There are clients that you've outgrown that you cannot let go because letting go leaves you feeling like you've lost something, even when it is keeping you at something that is beneath you and you need to move on.
Hoarding looks like discipline from the outside, but from the inside it is fear that is wearing an outfit that makes you [00:15:00] feel like you're responsible. Sign number three, you over-monitor. This used to be me. You check the numbers compulsively, the dashboard, the bank account, the sales notifications, the metrics.
Not because checking changes anything, but because the checking soothes the part of you that is scanning for threat and danger. The part of you that is wondering when the other shoe is gonna drop. Now, that is the same reflex as checking that the door is locked for the fourth time. This is not management, it is vigilance.
Sign number four, you say yes often, and most of the time you do so from fear. You take the client that you should have turned away for one reason or another. You keep the offer that drains you because the revenue feels too dangerous to release. And you say yes to the speaking opportunities, to the gigs, to the collaborations, to the launches, to all the things even though they are not aligned, [00:16:00] because saying no to any amount of money feels like you might be tempting fate I see this all the time.
A CEO clearing multiple six figures that's still afraid to turn down a $5,000 client who is going to drive them crazy and cost her $50,000 in energy. That, my friends, is the survival tax setting your pricing and your boundaries instead of your strategy, and it has to stop. Sign number five is you cannot rest no matter what you try.
Stillness feels like you're being exposed. A day off feels like the day that everything catches up with you. You confuse rest with risk, so you stay in motion, and you tend to call it ambition, trying to make it sound cute. But a body that cannot rest is not ambitious. It is on high alert. It is [00:17:00] constantly bracing.
It is hypervigilant. And here's what I want you to understand. You cannot lead a legacy level company from a permanent state of survival, alert, and danger. If you've been doing all the right things but still feel like you're carrying more weight than you should, it's not your strategy, it's your pattern.
There's a hidden way that you lead that's shaping your money, your success, and your peace. And until you see it, you'll keep working harder than you have to. The Ascension Archetypes Quiz shows you in just three minutes what's been driving your business behind the scenes and what needs to shift so that you can finally experience the overflow you're desiring.
It's fast, it's free, and it will give you the language for why things feel harder than they should right now. Go now to movetomillionsquiz.com to find out which archetype is running your business today
Speaker 2: My best-selling

That's right, you can listen to nugget after nugget, strategy after strategy, and chapter after chapter designed to help you to position your business for seven figures with grace and ease instead of hustle and grind. Go to Audible today to get your Audible copy of Move to Millions. Sign number six: you make scarcity decisions with abundance in the bank.
This, if you ask me, is the most expensive one. You have the resources. The account says everything is fine, and you still price from fear, hold back on investing the very investments that would take you to the next level. You play not to lose instead of playing to build. Your spreadsheet says expand, but your survival brain says protect at [00:19:00] all costs.
And you know the survival brain wins because your success brain is offline whenever it's present, because the survival brain speaks louder and takes up way more space. So what do you do? You stay small inside of a business that has every resource it needs to go to the next level. Now, if you've counted any number from these signs, I need you to hear me clearly, but especially if you have counted at least three of them.
You do not have strategy problems. You have safety problems wearing strategy as the badge of honor, and I need you to know that no business tactic will fix it because the tactic is not where the leak is. Now, let me give you the mechanism, because understanding it is the first part of rewiring it. The survival brain, or your amygdala It has one job, to keep you alive.
It's scanning for threat. It's optimizing for not losing, and it works [00:20:00] on a short time horizon, and it is always contracting. Its favorite question is, what could go wrong? And in actual danger, that question is a gift. It is the reason your ancestors survived. It is the reason that you survived whatever it is that you have indeed survived.
Now, the success brain, on the other hand, your prefrontal cortex, is very different. It's scanning for opportunity, and it optimizes for growth. It works on a long time horizon, and it is always expanding. Its favorite question is not what could go wrong, it's actually, what is mine to build, to create, to imagine?
The survival brain asks what could go wrong, but the success brain is asking what could go right? What could change the game right now? And here's what I need you to understand. You cannot scale if you're always trying to figure out what's going wrong. That is a [00:21:00] trap You will find yourself running your six-figure business on a survival brain.
You can muscle a low seven-figure business even on a survival brain because vigilance and hustle will carry you to the tip-top of seven figures, but you cannot build a multiple seven-figure business that yields seven figures in profit a year from survival. Because at that altitude, the business requires that you make expansive decisions, to trust other people, to deploy resources, and to release control.
And your survival brain has no place in a business that is generating at that level because a survival brain experiences every one of those things as a threat. So it ensures that you hit a ceiling, and when you hit that ceiling, you assume that the ceiling, it was put there as a strategy. You go looking for a better tactic.
But the ceiling is not a strategy at all. The ceiling is the altitude at [00:22:00] which your survival brain pulls the emergency brake. Revenue will always rise to meet identity, and a survival identity has a built-in limit on what it will let you hold. Now, I wanna take just a few minutes and make this personal for you because I need you to know and understand that survival does not look the same for everyone.
The way it shows up for you could be very different, and if you haven't guessed it by now, I am indeed talking about the Ascension archetype quiz. Now, if you haven't taken the quiz yet, this next part is going to feel like you're missing out. So if you haven't taken it, this is your invitation to go and take it.
It'll take you three minutes. It's completely free, and it's waiting for you right now at movetomillionsquiz.com. Once you take the quiz, it will let you know exactly which version of survival you are most likely running because here's what I want you to understand. The way you survive is the exact thing the market is [00:23:00] continuing to applaud, which means you're getting rewarded for the very pattern that is taxing you.
Now, when you take the quiz, you're gonna learn which of the five archetypes is yours. You will either be the performer, the producer, the path maker, the powerhouse, or the prophet. There is no right or wrong archetype. They are all divinely ordained, and your wiring is the key to unearthing your biggest breakthroughs yet.
Now, the reason why I'm so committed to sharing about the archetypes in every single episode is because this is the game changer that you did not know you needed All right, so now let's take a few minutes and let's break down the survival tax according to your archetype. If you are a performer, hey, performer, you survive through visibility.
Staying seen feels like staying safe because if you think that they can see you, then you think they cannot forget [00:24:00] you, and if they cannot forget you, you are not at risk of becoming irrelevant. So you stay on, always producing content, always on the stage, always in the feed. The tax is that you can never log off because being unseen feels like you have actually disappeared and you are irrelevant.
And it's costing you so much. It's costing you peace, it's costing you space, and it's costing you time for yourself and for other things that are important. Your settled state is not more visibility, it is knowing that you are safe even when you are not performing If you are a performer, hey, performer, you survive through productivity.
Output is your proof of safety. As long as you are building, shipping, optimizing, you feel safe and secure. And the moment that your motion stops, your anxiety begins to rise. So you stay busy, you stay producing, and you call [00:25:00] it diligence, right? The tax is that you cannot sit in unstructured space without manufacturing a task to escape it.
Your settled state is learning that you are safe even when nothing is being produced.
Speaker 2: Mm. Yeah.
Speaker: Now, for my pathmakers, you survive through innovation. You keep creating and creating and creating and creating one more time after that. You believe that if you are always putting something new out into the world, then you are safest.
But what I need you to know and understand is that you actually can take the time to let something that you've already created land and gain traction, and when you do, the results will actually be much more powerful. That's the game changer that you didn't even know you needed, pathmaker. Now, if you are [00:26:00] a powerhouse, you survive through self-reliance.
If you depend on no one, then no one can let you down, and if no one can let you down, guess what? You stay safe. So what do you do? You carry it all. You become the one who never needs help. The tax becomes an enormous weight that you cannot shoulder alone because a business that runs entirely through your own effort means that you can never grow to your next level.
And a leader who cannot receive support cannot build a team that scales and sustains. Now, your settled state is letting yourself be held. Being held is the game changer that you most need powerhouse, which is just a game changer for you. One other thing for my Pathmakers, as long as there is a new idea, a new direction, or a new door, you feel safe because options feel like an escape route.
The moment you have to commit to one [00:27:00] path and stay, that is the moment that anxiety rises because committing feels like being trapped. The tax for Pathmakers is that you start 100 things and let almost nothing compound. Your settled state is trusting that planting roots is not the same as being trapped.
And last but not least, if you are a Prophet, you survive through certainty. You need to know before you move. Clarity feels like safety, so you wait for the full download before you act, and you call waiting discernment. You are waiting on God, but you know God is waiting on you, right? Sometimes you are discerning, but often it is fear that has been dressed in spiritual language.
The tax is the opportunities that pass while you wait for a certainty that will never come. Your settled state is moving in trust before the picture is fully complete. Remember that Dr. Martin Luther King quote, "Faith is taking the first step without seeing the whole staircase." Now, do you get it? [00:28:00] Every one of those is a survival strategy that the world has been clapping for.
The applause is why it is so hard for you to put it down regardless of which archetype is yours. And trust me, I get it. I, too, have been celebrated for all the hard work, for surviving, for doing what I had to do. And I wanna be honest with you today. I sit in the significance of knowing that these are not badges of honor, that they are indeed costs that will eventually overextend and bankrupt you.
Yes, there is a reason your strategy feels stalled, and I bet you didn't realize it's spiritual. Discover your divine wiring, which informs how you lead, where you sabotage, and how to shift in order to scale with the Move to Millions Ascension Archetype Quiz. In less than three minutes, you'll learn what's really blocking your money, your momentum, and your mission.

So what actually settles this tax, you might be asking. Believe it or not, it's not a tactic, it's capacity. The capacity to feel safe inside of a bigger container than the one that you are actually in right now and the one that you grew up in. Now, safety, to be clear, is not the reward for scaling. Safety is the prerequisite.
You build the capacity first, and the millions move to meet your capacity. And capacity is not something you think your way into alone at your desk at 11 o'clock at night. It gets built in a [00:30:00] different kind of space, a space that is designed to hold the version of you that does not yet feel safe long enough for you to actually become the version that does indeed feel safe This is a big part of the reason why I created my Sanctuary programming, specifically our Sanctuary Core program.
Because I wanna be very, very clear with you. Until you are safe and secure in your relationships with yourself, with money, with wealth, with leadership and success, your move to millions is in jeopardy, point-blank, period. Sanctuary Core is where legacy-led CEOs and leaders are building the internal capacity to hold what they are desiring most and building externally through their life, their career, and their business.
It is where you come [00:31:00] home to the version of yourself that heaven has already approved. Mm. When I tell you I love Sanctuary, it has saved my own life, becoming my own sanctuary, and now doing this work with others is such a game changer. And if you, in listening to what I've shared with you in this episode, wanna learn more about Sanctuary, I wanna invite you to go get on the wait list at incredibleoneenterprises.com/sanctuary.
I want you to keep it in your vision as this season and this series unfolds because when I created Sanctuary, I was thinking about all of these hidden taxes that are keeping you from truly unlocking all the abundance that is your birthright. Now, before we close out this episode, I wanna be very clear that bracing is not a character flaw.
It has kept you alive. It is a survival mechanism. It got you here. And you do not need to be ashamed of that part of [00:32:00] you that learned how to survive. You just have to be willing to stop surviving long enough for you to learn how to feel safe with thriving. Survival is what got you to the table, but it cannot build the legacy because legacy requires you to feel safe enough to expand, to trust, to release, and receive, and you cannot do any of those things from a braced, contracted, hypervigilant state Now, three things I want you to do this week as you anchor in on this episode.
Number one, if you have not done so already, you already know, take the Ascension archetype quiz at movetomillionsquiz.com. It's three minutes, it's completely free, and it will help you to understand which version of survival you are running because you cannot settle a tax that you cannot name. Second thing I want you to do this week, I want you to name the sign that made you the most uncomfortable.
Was it the celebrating, the [00:33:00] hoarding, the monitoring, the fear? Yes, or the inability to rest, or the scarcity decisions that you have been making. Pick the one that landed the most for you in your body, write it down, and journal on it. This is the first line item of your tax audit this series. And the last thing I want you to do for me is I want you to share this episode with a CEO in your life who looks successful from the outside and they still cannot exhale, especially because they think they are the only one that is experiencing that right now.
She needs to know that not only is there a name for it, there's a safe place where you can come and get the insights that you need in order to finally make the shift. Now, I wanna invite you to put your dominant hand on your heart and your other hand on your belly and repeat after me. I am safe in the success I have built.
I release the bracing that got me here. I have the capacity to [00:34:00] hold what is coming next This season is about thriving instead of surviving, and I am ready, I am worthy, and I am capable. Oh, I hope that felt as good to you as it felt to me. Next week, we move on to the second hidden tax in this powerful series, and this one runs even quieter than survival because it disguises itself as being a good person.
I'm talking all about the approval tax. This is the hidden cost of needing to be chosen, the price you pay every time you betray yourself a little to keep someone else comfortable. I'm talking about the over-delivering, the over-explaining, the underpricing, the avoiding the hard conversations. We're going to add it all up so that you can see what this tax has been costing you, and we're gonna talk about how much of your business was built for validation instead of value and [00:35:00] impact.
I hope you are enjoying this series already. I don't want you to miss what's coming next, so make sure that you subscribe so that you receive the notification when the time comes.
