Now you heard me share that 2025 is the year of bigger. And so that's been my theme for the year. And so I thought it would be really, really cool if I took some time and I did a Bible study of sorts with you now. Sidebar God has been on me for a very long time to start my Bible study and as I continue to lean more into this category that I'm creating in small business, the spiritual with the strategy, the soul and the strategy and the convergence of the two. I mean I've been saying for years that our work meets at the convergence of spiritual principles and business growth Strategy and I am finally putting my money where my mouth is, so to speak, and really creating an environment for us to do powerful, powerful work. I love God. It is.

I Hope it is no surprise to you if you have been listening to this podcast, if this is your very first time here. Hello. Welcome. I'm so excited that you are here. You will come to learn that I am a God girl. And I am excited about an opportunity to help you to align spiritually so that you can see the results of the strategy. So let's get one thing straight. If you are asking God for a seven figure business, but you're not willing to thrive in the seasons where no one sees you, you are not ready for seven figures. Joseph did not become second in command of Egypt because he had a dream. He did so because he mastered the discipline, the integrity, and the strategy in the dark, y'all. When no one was paying Attention. Listen, I get it. I want to be on too. I want to be on bigger stages.

I want to. I want the world to know my name. But here's the thing. I am moving the same, even when not everybody knows who I am. Now, don't get me wrong, this podcast is in 133 countries around the world. So I am grateful for the visibility that we have. And I know that I will continue to thrive. So this episode isn't for entrepreneurs who are looking for a shortcut.

This is for the legacy le CEO who understands that before God promotes you, he prepares you, and he often does the preparation in private. Can I get a witness? I want you to understand how the story of Joseph is not just inspiration, but it's instruction. I want you to walk away with a strategic insight into how to handle obscurity, betrayal, and delay without losing your vision, your faith, or your leadership capacity. Okay, so we're going to ground this thing in the Word. So here are the scriptures that we're going to be talking about throughout this episode. Genesis 37, 5, 11, that's when Joseph has the dream. We're going to talk about Genesis 39, 2, 4, when even in slavery, how the Lord was with Joseph.

We're going to talk about Genesis 41, 39, 41, when Joseph was promoted to be the power center of Egypt. And then we're going to talk about Genesis 50:20, where we really get into the culmination of everything, right? What was meant for evil, God meant for good, and how all of that shifted everything. And as we do this, I'm going to demonstrate to you what I call the CEO arc and the business parallels to Joseph's journey. Right? So starting from Joseph having the dream in his father's house, that's like startup energy, where you have a big vision and you have no infrastructure to take your business to the next level. Then when Joseph is a slave in Potiphar's house, this is when you're like a solopreneur, where you're starting to learn some systems. You're managing assets that aren't yours, right? And then when Joseph was in prison and he became a leader in prison, this is like when you have hit mid six figures, when you're building excellence and influence in your business, but the environment is constrained, right? You're having to prove that you can lead even when in A crisis. And if you've gotten to mid six figures, you know exactly what I'm talking about. And then when Joseph became the governor of Egypt, that's like being a seven figure CEO when you're leading strategy, the economy, people, with the precision and with the purpose and with the power.

Now, I need you to understand that Joseph did not jump from the coat to the crown. He ascended by becoming who the dream required he be. Did you just hear me? Let's keep it real. And so this is gonna be a walkthrough Joseph's life and how it parallels to your business journey to get to seven figures in an effort to help you to. To play a bigger game. So again, our scripture reference is Genesis 37, 39 through 41. I'm not going to read the scripture for you. Y'all can read and you can go and read the scripture, right? So again, we use the soapy method. And soapy stands. The S stands for scripture.

The O for observation. The A for application. The first P is for the prayer. The second P is for the purpose of it, why it matters. And then the Y is for why. You know, for such a time as this, right? What are we doing and how are we using this? Now, if you love the Move to.

All right, so now that we have that again, our scripture, Genesis 37, 39, 41. Okay, so let's make an absuration. Joseph's story, it is not a highlight reel. It's a development curriculum. He was anointed before he was appointed. He was favored, but he was also forgotten.

He was gifted, but he had to grow in governance. So it's important for you to understand that the coat marked him, but the crisis matured him. Your character is in your crown before your crown ever shows up. Somebody might pray, just might praise him on that one. That is such a good leadership lesson. Let me say it one more time. The coat marked him, but the crisis matured him. And how you internalize this.
Darnyelle Jervey Harmon [00:11:36]:
Your character is your crown before the crown actually shows up. Okay, now let's apply this for the legacy led CEO that you are. Number one, you have to project protect your dream. Your million dollar mandate was not a community brainstorm. It was a divine download. Everyone will not understand it and they don't need to. So you have to be careful and discern who you should actually be telling what it is that you're planning for in your business. You want to stop trying to validate your vision to people who weren't in the room when God spoke to you.
Darnyelle Jervey Harmon [00:12:14]:
Number two, you're going to have to thrive in obscurity. Joseph did not wait for the throne to show up to be an operate in excellence. He managed Potiphar's estate like it was his very own. He managed like he owned it from day one. He ran the prison with order and with dignity. So if you cannot lead in the hallway, you are not ready for the boardroom. This is what I want you to understand. Excellence in exile earns elevation.
Darnyelle Jervey Harmon [00:12:42]:
So I want you to stop saying I'm just waiting on God and instead start saying I'm. How am I managing what he's already placed in my hands? That makes me think about Elisha in the Widow. You know the story from 2 Kings, right? Her husband had died and the debtors were coming and they were going to take her sons in order to cover her husband's debt. She went to Elisha. Elisha said, what is in your hands? She Said I have nothing, save a little bit of oil. He told her to go borrow jars from her neighbor and to fill those jars with her oil. Oil. And that the oil would not run out until there were no more jars.
Darnyelle Jervey Harmon [00:13:17]:
So I want you to think about, like, stop waiting on God. God is waiting on you. James says, faith without works is dead. I say give God something to bless. So the question I want you to ask yourself right now is, how am I managing what God has already placed in my hands? That's how you thrive right now, before the seven figures, before the big stages, before the bestselling book, before the book deal. That's how you thrive right now, is by making sure that you are managing what has already been placed in your hands, by being a good steward over your strategy, over your sales infrastructure, over your systems and operational efficiency. That's what we do right now. Number three, we want to stay clean under the pressure.
Darnyelle Jervey Harmon [00:13:59]:
Now, you know the story. Joseph got propositioned. She wanted him. She lied on him because she didn't get her way. And even still, he was not bitter. He did not give in to the scandal. He did not compromise. He operated in integrity.
Darnyelle Jervey Harmon [00:14:14]:
So I want you to keep in mind that as a CEO, your capacity to lead will never outgrow your commitment to character. Grace and ease require integrity, and you cannot take shortcuts. So important that you understand this, number four, you have to get strategically positioned when the dream reappears. I'm talking about Pharaoh's dream. Joseph doesn't just interpret. He architects an entire solution for a nation. So here's the cue I want you to take away from this. As a legacy led CEO, the goal isn't just to be seen.
Darnyelle Jervey Harmon [00:14:50]:
It's to be so refined that when visibility meets you, your strategy speaks before you ever say a word. Okay, let me run down the four ways. We are going to apply what happened with Joseph again to you as a legacy led CEO. Number one, you're going to protect the dream. Number two, you're going to thrive in obscurity. Number three, you're going to stay clean and in integrity under pressure. And number four, you're going to get strategically positioned. Let's pray.

Lord God, Oh, Jesus, I thank you. Just first and foremost because of who you are, and I thank you that you do not waste detours. Oh, Jesus. Just like you were with Joseph. Be with us in our pits, in our prisons, and in our places of promotion. Remind us that every delay, every betrayal, every lesson is preparing us to carry the weight of the vision that you gave us. Give us the grace to play big with humility, integrity and trust fully in you. And God led us to fall, not faint.
Darnyelle Jervey Harmon [00:15:49]:
When we are in the hallway of obscurity, when we are waiting to be discovered, when we're waiting for the next client, when we're waiting to sell that 100k offer, God instead we declare that we will steward every opportunity that we have been given as if it is exactly what we have been waiting for and have prepared for. God, let us prepare for rain because in you God it is and it is all possible. We love you, we thank you, we honor you, we praise you in Jesus name. Now let's get into why Joseph is a blueprint for us as legacy led CEOs that want to build businesses to seven, eight, nine and even 10 figures. If that's your desire, right? And for such a time as this, your obscurity is an opportunity to over develop the skill set that you'll need when everyone is watching. Can we just sidebar for a second right there? Because that is so, so good. Oh my gosh, this is so good. I think about my own story and I think about all the work that I have been doing, all of the consistency with which I have been showing up in the marketplace doing all of it every single week whether I want to or not.

Because you never know when someone is watching. Last week I had someone slide in my IG DMs and the message was so long y'all. Oh my gosh, it was so long. And she was like, listen, I have been following you since 2015, y'all. That's almost 10 years ago. And one thing I can say about you, Darnyelle, is that you are consistent and you are consistently evolving and elevating. I have literally watched you take Move after move after move. And this latest move that you are on, I just want to encourage you that you are finally on the precipice of doing the big that I saw for you back in 2015 when I started watching you.

Listen, I did not know this woman from a can of paint. The name did not ring a bell. Maybe she's on my email list. I didn't go and look for her to see. But what I saw was exactly what I just shared with you. When you think you're obscure, when you think no one knows who you are, there is an opportunity to over develop the skillset that you will need when everyone is watching. So I just want you to keep that in mind that it is not in vain. It is for such a time as this. And there is an activation. Because playing big is not about arriving, it's about enduring. Joseph didn't shrink in the dark and neither should you. Listen once you know that you are playing small. Once you know that you are hiding. When we were at God Girls this past year, the whole room was under a hiding like they were all hiding.

And God was like it is time for us to all awaken and to play bigger. That's why he gave me the word bigger for the year. And so here are some questions I want you to ask yourself as you think and reflect on this story of Joseph and how you can relate it to your own entrepreneurial journey. Number one, where are you hiding because you are waiting for validation? Number two, where is God asking you to lead in obscurity with the same intensity you'll need in the overflow? And number three, are you managing like the seven figure CEO, the legacy led CEO before the revenue reflects it? Let me repeat those three questions again.
