NEWSFLASH: You're not in the business you think you are in.

You, me and every other entrepreneur or business owner is really in the business of marketing and sales.

Go ahead, call yourself whatever you like BUT make sure that you understand your real job.

As a marketer and sales person, there is one skill that is non-negotiable that you master.

S P E A K I N G.

Speaking is the number one lead generation and sales tool on the planet. And, when you understand how to leverage this tool and can position yourself effectively, you will never have a shortage of leads or sales opportunities.

Through speaking over the last 10 years, I have generated more than $20,000,000 in revenue. And this is from a) being paid to speak, b) speaking to sell and c) speaking to generate leads. Because I know how to position myself, I never speak for free - I always get paid, often way more than I would earn for a speaking fee (the most I have made from another stage following a speaking engagement to date is $259,000)

And yes, there are some conditions where I must be paid my fee to speak, for the record.
